Almost home....

Karena's breathing has become significantly worse.
This afternoon we all gathered at her bedside. We have all said goodbye.
Her heart is still very strong though so she may even live for another day.
Looks like another sleepless night....
So the sleeping bags are out and we're camping here again.

Psalm 99:1 "The Lord reigns...."

Perhaps tomorrow's verse will be :
Job 1:21 "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;may the name of the Lord be praised"

  8. Craig, such an encouragement and inspiration as we read the blog with tears of sadness and joy just feeling a part of you and the family pain.
May our Dear Lord Bless you for having the strength to share at a time when it must be so painful for you.
When I share, many a time I share these words.. .. we are just a passing through...karena’s time here seemed so very short but it at our Lord’s perfect timing and we are unable to understand its shortness on this side of Heaven.
The one verse of Paul that I would like to quote on my day of calling is in 2 Tim 4:7,8
‘the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day....
’Karena can so joyously and with faith assurance speak these out as our Lord prepares to take her Home.

  9. Dear Craig,
Simon and I have followed your blog and been so touched by your openess of heart as you have written so beautifully throughout this painful time in your lives. We have cried tears from afar with you and we hold many precious memories in our hearts of times as families when our children were being born and toddling about together. Karena was such a great friend to me in that season of our lives. Your words are such a witness of Gods love and faithfulness. We pray you and the family will continue to rest in that place of peace in His arms, holding you close, holding you near in His arms of love.
    All our love
